It was a rainy Tuesday afternoon during our School Holidays. Went for a drive with the Grandkids to check out the playground, the historic sights at East Point, and to see if the wallabies had ventured out. A very beautiful place and is FREE to wander around. East Point is home to the Darwin Military Museum (pay Admission) and some gun turrets and sheds from WW2 that I think are free to roam around in and the Pony Club backs onto the Museum. Some beautiful walking tracks, PeeWee's restaurant(check times), and an area to fly model Planes are available. Two large playgrounds and Lake Alexander is able to be safely swum in all year round.
