Delightful and diverse market.
We parked for $2 and there was plenty of space for our motorhome. There are some handicapped spaces right inside the paid entrance parking too.
Lots of fresh fruit and vegetables, including some of the most plump and flavourful cherries and strawberries we’ve had. We picked up plums, apricots, and blueberries too.
Lots of takeaway food options ranging from hot Lebanese food to almond croissants.
Loved the handmade goods available all at reasonable prices. We picked up a set of wooden rainbow sorting sets and an imaginative flower from the most delightful woman and her daughters.
Picked up an apron in a style that I know I’ll end up wearing as a dress over simple clothes with a divine Australian flower patterned fabric from a woman named Sylvia. Picked up a wide brim swim hat for our 7 year old handmade by Amanda that even has the thoughtful wind strap to keep it secure.
Browsing the used clothing yielded fantastic results and I was lucky enough to purchase 2 silk dresses that fit wonderfully.
Overall a fantastic market and one we would make a point to visit...
Read moreNice market, more stall holders than normal (apparently normal for this time of year, up until Christmas). I was rather surprised at the amount of people, seemed heaps more than when I'd previously attended. This market has improved somewhat over the years, thank goodness, and is an enjoyable outing. Pony rides available, led around the cobbled trek for the littlies. On the foodfront, personally, I was a bit disappointed, and I missed Rory's Hot Jacket Potato Van, no Dagwood Dogs or Fairy floss to be found, although several ethnic food stalls selling curries, etc, donut balls, soft flavoured pretzels (🤢 not to my liking, although grandson enjoyed most of it), a drinks van (coffees $7, milkshakes $6.90), and a burger van (beef/chicken/egg & bacon burgers, $13/$15, Brekky Burger very nice but very expensive/ over priced, 3 Nuggets and chips, $10! Can of Kirk's available, $3), and the inside cafe had a few items available...
Read moreTypical local market with jams, chutneys, used things, some new socks and the usual suspects. It's always nice to walk around and take in the atmosphere. I would hate to be there setting up early in the morning as it is still chilly mid morning. Coffee is a problem for me here. Price is expensive. There are only 2 places to buy. One is inside hall and it's $5 for small long black! At the coffee van in market area they have small coffee advertised for $4 but only have medium to large cups for $5 plus!! No small cups. So went again last weekend and still no small cups. So $5 it is but I get a coffee as it is a necessity but begrudgingly! Best stall in market for me is 2nd hand records! Love spending time reminiscing!! Also there is a guy selling Moko jewellery. His store is always...
