Lesmurdie Falls National Park is a stunning natural attraction located in Western Australia. I had the opportunity to visit the park recently, and it was truly a memorable experience.

One of the highlights of Lesmurdie Falls National Park is the majestic waterfall itself. The sight of water cascading down the rocks is awe-inspiring. The park offers various lookout points that provide breathtaking views of the waterfall and the surrounding landscape. It's a perfect spot for nature enthusiasts and photographers.

Exploring the park's walking trails was another enjoyable aspect of my visit. The park offers a range of trails suitable for different fitness levels, from easy walks to more challenging hikes. As I ventured along the trails, I was surrounded by beautiful native vegetation, including tall trees, wildflowers, and vibrant birdlife. It felt like being immersed in nature's tranquility.

One of the highlights of my visit was reaching the top of the waterfall. The panoramic views from the lookout were simply breathtaking. It was a rewarding experience after a moderately challenging hike. I also took the time to relax and have a picnic in one of the designated picnic areas, enjoying the serene atmosphere and the sounds of nature.

Another aspect that impressed me about Lesmurdie Falls National Park was its accessibility. The park is located just a short drive from Perth, making it a convenient day trip destination. The well-maintained facilities, including ample parking and clean restrooms, added to the overall...

This is a fantastic day out. We took advantage of the beautiful day and took the pink trail. The waterfall is running, the wildflowers our out and it’s beautiful. Highly recommend a picnic at the bottom of the falls. One note was that a little of the path was a bit overgrown and we got a little off track when a couple of signposts disappeared and we didn’t know to take a right down the hill. There could just be a couple more signposts please. There are a number of trails to choose from. The pink once said it would take about 2 hours but if you walk at a steady pace you could make it in an hour. I’m sure the times are taking I to account stopping and taking photos at all the lookouts… which of course we did. There are picnic benches at each of the car parks and the bathroom facilities were fine. There was disabled access to the picnic tables. We will definitely go back and try the purple (blue?) trail next time. Get there before the waterfall dries out! It’s just gorgeous. All the way along the river you get the sounds of the babbling brook, there are so many birds chirping … serenity! We parked in the top car park which is simply ā€œleamurdie falls car parkā€ on google maps. Great starting point. So close to the city and so far away. You get great views of the city from the lookouts but the park was so beautiful it’s hard to tear your eyes away. The wildflowers are so varied! A great day out and highly recommended. Would have 5 stars for just a few more signposts...

The most enjoyable thing about hiking in Japan is the constant companion of running water as hills are traversed. The paths around Les Murdie Falls and Mundy Regional Park were similarly serenaded. Streams that are normally dry, flowed, gushed even, in joyful choirs down the hills. In contrast the recent long dry, this made for a relaxing and enjoyable hike. The signage is still appalling, though. Without a map app, like All trails, it's possible that I'd still be stumbling around in the bush uncertain about which is the correct path because there are many intersecting paths with accompanying signage. Sadly, this is not unique to Lesmurdie as many Perth trails lack signs or flashes to guide hikers. Despite the lack of guidance, the trail is magnificent with mostly wide, easy to walk paths that are not too challenging. No matter which way you navigate the trail, you will experience steep sections at the beginning and the end. In between the trails are mostly gentle with a few interesting water crossings. The views are wonderful, especially as the hills reveal the plain with Perth City rising majestically in the distance. Be prepared for crowds on weekends as it was quite busy...

We have been loving this time spent in Perth, using the opportunity to explore more of our backyard. Lesmurdie Falls was beautiful to visit as the sun was coming up, I can’t believe we had never visited before! It would be a great winter hike when the falls are flowing more šŸ’¦ We are planning some epic hikes on our next little road trip, so this was a great chance to put our new @hushpuppiesau adventure shoes to the test. These are going to be perfect for any hikes we want to tackle being lightweight & water resistant, and the Michelin designed grip is going to ensure we don’t have any Mount Amos repeats where I’m crying halfway up a mountain šŸ˜‚ Let us know your favourite hikes around the northwest so we can add to our list! šŸ™ŒšŸ¼ #HushPuppiesAU #AbetterSoleForward #TheAdventureShoe #ad #hiking #perth #hikingadventures #adventureseekers
