Let me first say Thank You to all the Truck and coach drivers past and present and to all future drivers. They are the backbone of Australia without them Australia wouldn't be Australia. It is nice to see a memorial other than a military one. It is well maintained and loved by all. They have a memorial day, there are two convoys, one starts at Carole Park Brisbane and the other one starts at Toowoomba and finishes at Gatton Showgrounds. Nice and quite good place to relax and keep the memories alive. I highly recommend going to have a look 😊😊. Centre has lots of information. The museum has high standard of displays with excellent country work on show. Toilets always clean. Restaurant food and service good. A pedal train for kids always a hit. Fabulous " parkrun " round the lake. Returned Feb 2025- favourite picnic spot. Lots of pretty whistling ducks. More...
