Gecko Valley — Attraction in Glen Eden

Very disappointing! My husband, mother and father in law, went for lunch on a Friday (first day of their 3 days of trading) stood in line, just for the menue, while others were trying to order, but they were hearing that most meals on the menue were un available, so it was taking a long time! I couldn't even get a second to ask for a menu, I told the lady behind me, I was only after a menu, so she went and got theirs for me! Once were decided on our meals, I asked everyone to say a back up meal in case what we wanted was un available, Went in to order, and had to order our back up meals Then my inlaws meals came out, they finished theirs so I went in to ask where our meals were! One had been given to someone else and the other I had ordered wasn't available! They argues that they had told me, but they hadn't! They bought our meals out, then said you need to pay for 1 meal, and we said we shouldn't really have to, the lady was very rude! The hidden gem of QLD!! We have been to many wineries and we don’t drink white wines, we normally drink red. However, we fell in love with their white wines and sparkling. They all taste different and are perfect for the QLD climate. The owner delivered the tasting and we were bouncing ideas off of each other. He is absolutely amazing!!! His wife makes the best pies in Australia, I’m not a pie person but hers are excellent! We cannot wait to drive there on our way back home.

Stumbled upon here on the drive from 1770 to Rocky; a winery in Gladstone we thought? But oh man we were pleasantly surprised. We stumbled into sample their wine and liked it so much we bought a bottle to take home. However, we 'accidently' drank it then and there over a generous cheeseboard on their terrace overlooking the vineyards and so had to sheepishly purchase another three. The staff were lovely and helpful, we were very glad to learn you can buy their stuff online. Would highly recommend the verdelho! Seriously delightful, especially on a hot...
