One of the most beautiful sections of wilderness we've ever had the pleasure of exploring! An abundance of waterfalls, bushland, rainforest, caves and rocky cliffs jutting through the trees, all within a comfortable walking range from each other! A variety of bird songs could be heard as we hiked for 2-3hrs through the different terrain, which was a lovely addition to our experience.
We came to see the Twin Falls and were pleasantly surprised with numerous other falls in the same trip!
The car park is located approximately 1hr from Surfers' Paradise and the walk/hike time to the falls varies depending on which route you choose. We took the shorter path as we arrived somewhat late in the day and thankfully had just enough time to make it back to the carpark before nightfall (with minutes to spare!).
This was our favourite section of Springbrook National Park to walk through as we thoroughly enjoyed the path with caves and many waterfalls to explore along the way! If you're ever within the area and love nature as much as we do, we suggest spending a day here!
Just a few tips before your hike: • Bring some drinking water; you'll need to stay hydrated while walking for a few hours! • Wear appropriate walking shoes (I made the mistake of wearing thongs (flip-flops); some sections of the path are slippery, muddy and rocky. • Bring a jumper (sweater) or light jacket; it can get pretty cold up here in the forest, despite warmer temperatures along the coast. • Remember to always be considerate of/respectful to your surroundings! Tread carefully and do as much as possible to preserve the natural beauty of the park. This includes bringing a bag for any rubbish you may have (or other people's if you're willing to pick it up...

It’s painful to write this review about a place that used to be a spectacular natural icon.
The Twin Falls Circuit in Springbrook National Park is undeniably showing the strain of both massive tourist growth and undeniable climate change impacts.
I visited recently, and the waterfalls are simply not what they used to be. Instead of the powerful, dual curtains of water that once roared down the ancient rock face, i saw a tired, thin flow, a disheartening trickle in places.
It is clear that changing rainfall patterns and prolonged dry spells are taking a serious toll on the entire ecosystem here.
Beyond the reduced water flow, the sheer volume of visitors has left the site feeling "loved to death." The infrastructure feels exhausted and the crowds detract significantly from the peaceful, ancient atmosphere the Gondwana Rainforest should offer.
This magnificent World Heritage area deserves better protection and a break.
While the rainforest track remains beautiful, the star attraction—the Twin Falls themselves—are a sobering reminder of what we are losing.
Visit with realistic expectations; the experience now is more about conservation awareness than...
