Must visit when you're in stradbroke. A very pretty place to see and be. I've just learnt swimming and the thought of swimming in the ocean is terrifying to me, but swimming inside the nets here made me feel safe and I did enjoy dipping into the sea water. The sunset from here is amazing and with the number of people fishing, I would say it is a very good place for fishing too. Has toilets near by and a little playground...

Amazing spot to visit, especially in the afternoons for the sunset. Most afternoons the local dolphins usually appear near the jetty as well. You can also spot many types of fish, sting rays etc from the jetty too. There are BBQs in the park nearby. We spotted koala's on the gum trees in the park. If you are a boatie, there's a decent boat ramp there, however there is no pontoon at the ramp for easy offload and retrieve...

A super spot. We visited on the first day of winter and the sun was out and the sky blue. The caravan park adds to the area keeping it green and giving it an open park like feeling. Lots of interesting things to see; the pelicans, the dolphins, the diving birds, people loading their boats, the dock to walk out, the beach to walk along. Very restful and out of the wind compared too the more wild east side...

At the jetty you will be able to see wild dolphins swimming up close. If you are brave enough, you can jump into the water at the jetty. Mostly kids does it. Would suggest that the best time to visit this is during sunset as this is the time when the dolphins will come to the jetty. Plus the sunset view is beautiful. One thing you need to watch out for are the stone fish - just don't get near it.
