We last visited here in the B.C. times (before covid). That was late 2019 - great to see this joint is still in operation. With the adjacent campground currently closed post TC Alfred, it's the quietest I've seen Amity - and I've been visiting here on and off for decades. Food and atmosphere is exactly as I remembered - simple, affordable and unpretentious pub grub. Wednesday is currently parmi night - my wife is a big schnitzel fan but went for the Hawaiian parmi due to the price point. After some deliberation, I opted for the Inferno parmi. Old mate in the kitchen when asked said "it's pretty f**kin hot!" - who can argue with this testimonial. The kitchen now has EFTPOS that was lacking last visit. Meals were served in a reasonable timeframe, and certainly generous for the price point. Mine was nicely spiced but not to the lofty calibre indicated. Constructive criticism - my wife loves her vegies and the kitchen indicated these are only available two nights per week, otherwise salad is the only option. The gravy ($2.50) was a gloopy sludge. The bar had reasonably priced pints ($11) of local beer on tap, paired with friendly service.

The lovely Canadian waitress took our orders. She was friendly and then the food came. All 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals that were cooked by one man.My fish was cooked to perfection and so much! Everyone found the food plentiful. Thank you , we will be back! The drive up to the club is lovely. There is a still waterway with fallen melaleuca and birds sitting on them. Beautiful bird song all around and no other retail buildings around it. Very peaceful and has a balcony area in the open for you to enjoy all fresco.

The BEST club I've been to in my life! The bar staff were all happy, friendly, remembered orders, easy going, and made you feel so at home! The bistro staff were having a great time in the kitchen with big smiles, and very welcoming with delicious meals being served. I felt so relaxed here and will 100% be returning on my next trip. The cricket grounds here also had kangaroos and ducks, great way to relax with a beer seeing some of the animals. Thank you so much.

The reviews of this place mentioned that the food was good but we went for dinner on Sunday night only to find out that it's roast night so they only did roast. We ordered the beef roast with veggies and was very disappointed with the dish. It had a small serve of veggies which only had the very end of the corn cob, three beans cut up in small pieces and a few carrots. The beef was hard and the serve had a lot of fat in it. Then to top it off, we sat on the outside veranda and even though we were warned of the Kookaburra, it swoop on our meal knocking my beer off. The staff were kind to come and see if we were ok, no mentioned of replacing the beer and the only comment made by them was that the Kookaburra usually doesn't come during the evening!

Overall a...

Came in this afternoon to order some food. I had no shirt on I had been at the beach. I looked on the door before entering and going upstairs about a dress code. Reached the top of the steps to have a lady tell me I had to leave.

If you have a dress code that is fine. Sign it on the door like every other regulated establishment in the state.

You are not an r.s.l and you are positioned on an island on a beach and you expect people to apply dress edicate without any signs.

You lost a customer before you even had one.

Finally this was never your island in the first place you took it and called it your own remember that.

The aboriginal people have been the only ones who have shown me any kindness or civility since arriving...
