Our recent visit to the BIG4 Sandstone Point Holiday Park was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and a level of service that truly set the tone for an unforgettable holiday.

The park itself is a paradise for families, with beautifully maintained grounds, incredible facilities, and an atmosphere that feels both relaxing and exciting all at once. Every corner of the park is thoughtfully designed to ensure guests of all ages have an amazing experience, from the splash park and playgrounds to the serene spots perfect for unwinding.

What made our stay particularly memorable, however, was the incredible staff. The team went above and beyond to ensure every aspect of our visit was perfect. A special mention must go to the management, who clearly take great pride in creating a space where families can make lifelong memories. Their attention to detail and genuine care for guests is evident in everything they do.

An extra special shoutout to Lauren, who made our little girl’s birthday an event she’ll never forget! From the thoughtful touches to the personal care, Lauren truly went above and beyond to make her day extra special. Seeing our daughter’s face light up with joy is a memory we will treasure forever.

We are also immensely grateful for the impeccable service provided by Marina, Alicia, Brady, Kerryn, Margi, Hannah, and Cooper. Your smiles, kindness, and dedication to ensuring every guest feels special truly elevated our experience. We stayed a little over a week ago for my daughters birthday for 5 nights in an eco villa @ $500p/n and was incredibly disappointed (to say the least) in their customer service, and the cleanliness of our room. There are some positives in the amount of facilities for the kids but we felt it didn’t out way the negative experience. We were so excited and had saved for over a year to be able to come check it out but that feeling was short lived. Our room stunk due to the mould in the showers and throughout the aircon units, which we eventually discovered after a nice asthma attack for my daughter after the first night. We mentioned this to reception, someone came out to do a basic clean (which should have already been done prior to our entry) and that was that. No apology, not even a free coffee - nothing. We also didn’t use the aircon for the remainder of our stay, for fear of risking another asthma attack so that was slightly uncomfortable but plenty of ceiling fans throughout our villa which helped greatly! For a “world-class facility” who promote they pride themselves on their customers service and resort facilities, it was quite a short fall. If you enjoy swimming with ibis in the children wadding pool and walking their faeces into the pool as they crap everywhere and it’s not cleaned regularly enough to avoid kids walking it into the pool then it’ll be your jam. The facilities at the holiday park are good though, if you have kids they will have a ball & have plenty to do. But I think if you want to charge as much as a luxury five star holiday resort the customer service needs to be up to par and so does the cleanliness of your facilities. The park features three large pools, including a pool bar for refreshing drinks, and a water park to keep everyone cool and entertained year-round. For active fun, there's a pump track, arcade room, mini golf course, tennis and basketball courts, a jumping pillow, and a playground—ensuring kids are always engaged and happy.

Within walking distance lies the Sandstone Point Hotel and The Oyster Shed, perfect spots for dining with picturesque water views. It's an ideal base for exploring the area's attractions, combining relaxation with adventure seamlessly.

While the keyless entry wristbands for park access and amenities are convenient, some guests found the technology could use improvement, occasionally causing minor inconveniences at gates and doors. Additionally, a few activities like mini golf and pedal carts incur extra charges beyond the accommodation fees, which might be worth noting when planning activities.

Despite these minor considerations, the overall experience was overwhelmingly positive for guests, highlighted by a fantastic week that left a lasting impression. Many look forward to returning, appreciative of the exceptional service and enjoyable facilities provided by the Big 4 team.
