Greenway Chapel & Memorial Gardens — Attraction in Green Point

My dad recently passed away and we decided to have the funeral at Greenway Chapel. This is probably the most difficult review I've ever had to write in my life, but not due to any failure, faults or flaws with the venue, but due to the reason needing to be there. My father loved gardens and gardening and the naturalistic feeling of being in the middle of trees, flowers, and you can never have enough green. Greenway Chapel was the perfect place to say my final goodbye to the man I loved most in the world, and I know that if he could have had a way to have seen his service, he would have been smiling wider than ever. Concidering i was there to celebrate the life of a friend that passed, i couldn't help but take in the spectacular view from the chapel we were in. The whole front of the chapel was glass windows, overlooking the bush and all I could see was trees and plants. It was absolutely lovley and i was staring out into it listening to them talk, and thinking about my friend that passed and all the good memories. I have been to quite few funerals and most have a wall with some religious stuff on it at the front of a chapel, i have never seen such a beautiful chapel before. My family have used the Greenway Chapel and Memorial Gardens twice over the past 18 months. We held the services for my parents in law there. The staff were amazing in organising everything for the services. They were very accommodating with our requests as we had a family member that sang at both services they also videotaped the services for us. The venue itself is set in a beautiful bushland area with large windows that look out on the view. The chapel is beautifully set out.
