I didn’t have an enjoyable experience at the Kincumber restaurant tonight. When I rang to place a takeaway order, the man asked if I could pay cash. I found this a little strange, as they’ve never asked this of me before, but I figured their EFTPOS machine wasn’t working. When I arrived, I gave him a $50 note. As I walked out the door, I realised he’d short-changed me by $10. I wasn’t phased, as I understand mistakes happen. I re-entered the restaurant and asked how much my meal was. He told me the total, and I said that I’d given him $50. He snatched the notes out of my hand, walked over to the cash register, then said, “You gave me $40.” I clarified that I gave him $50. After a few seconds, he said, “You gave me two $20’s.” I again stated that I gave him a $50 note. No reaction, no apology, no smile from him, other than finally giving me the correct change. I was hoping that it was just a one-off encounter, but when I started eating the Butter Chicken at home, the chicken was full of fat and had a bone in it. Your store has disgusting customer service. We ordered through Menu Log and the order was confirmed at 6pm. We received a message stating it would be delivered at 7.03pm. At 20 last 7 we rang the store to ask if the order had left the store. The man that answered the phone stated they had not confirm the order until 6.30pm which is not true as we received confirmation at 6pm. He then continued to say that we would send a confirmation message for a delivery time in 15 minutes, my partner asked why we had to wait over half an hour for our food and the man HUNG UP! Absolutely disgusting way to deal with customers. We usually love the food hut if this is how we will be treated them we will take out his ones...

This might be a small restaurant in the central coast - but they level of service they provide is nothing short of a high end restaurant experience. The owners were absolutely lovely - they come over several times to check if everything was ok with our order and they shared their stories with us, about how they started their life in Australia and their business. When we told them that we had come up to the coast to celebrate our first anniversary, they even gave us free dessert (pictured). It was just the most genuine and heart-warming experience. Not to mention, the food was amazing as well!...
