Came here for lunch and minigolf, minigolf was so much fun and the courses weren't that difficult but not that easy, I tied with my grandma so take that as you will hahaha. There were alot of varieties within the courses and kept us on our toes, I love where it was located because we got to see kangaroos just outside the fencing while we played. After I needed to use the toilet and oh my God.... for a random minigolf place in the middle of nowhere this toilet is the fanciest toilet I've ever seen! I could just sit in there for hours after I had finished I had to go check out the other toilet aswell to see the beautiful design work. Me and my family then went inside and grabbed lunch and checked out the store, I grabbed nachos and I love my nachos there was so much guacamole I could have died, needless to say I did finish every bit of guacamole on that plate, my partner got the schnitzel and it was absolutely amazing and could tell it was good chicken and freshly made. My grandma got the apple pie with icecream and fell inlove and had to if it was home made. We bought a few things from the shop and had a chat to the lovely store owners, we had come last year for a family holiday and they remembered us from a year ago.
After all thuis town has been through since the bush fires they have honestly still kept up with smiles and fun attitude and I really hope to see them again next year!
Thank you so much from - The...
Read moreAbsurdly difficult. Easily the most difficult miniature golf course I have ever played. This, in and of itself, is not a problem. However, the difficulty on many holes added nothing except to be difficult. No amount of skill or practice would make a difference - only dumb luck could overcome the challenge in many cases.
Further, the lack of maintenance added to the difficulty. All of the turf is completely run down, offering zero rolling resistance. As a result, even on the most modest of slopes, the ball will roll. On almost every single hole, if you didn't simply smash the ball as hard as possible, it will roll back down to the tee. If the ball did stop, it was usually against the curbing. Every flag pin on each hole would not stand upright, and instead list to the side against the edge of the cup, as the cup retainer & pin stand itself was broken/collapsed.
There were 4 other groups around us this past weekend, all of which had the same experience. If maintenance is kept up, I can imagine this course would be more fun, rather than pointlessly difficult. At present, the $15 per adult seemed steep considering the neglect on the...
Read moreVisited this venue on our recent weekend away. The surroundings are beautiful and we enjoyed our game here.
There are some holes that require the ball to go through a tube and there were a few times where my ball got stuck so we had to manually push the ball through. At the last hole, my ball got very stuck and I couldn’t complete the game which was disappointing.
It had been raining heavily the day prior and so some parts of the green were very flooded and we had to lift the ball through places where there were dips in the green and water had pooled. Of course, not the staffs fault but highlighting that if you visit after rain, there will be parts that will be well wetter then others. If you knock the ball into the water, you fish out with nets which is fine… except the net had a hole in it so when my daughter finally got the ball, it went through the hole and eventually I just had to go in with my hand to grab the ball.
We still had a good time and had fun and I think it’s well worth a visit. I would definitely come back if I come to Halls Gap again. Very slippery under feet when wet so be cautious when stepping...
