⸻||It was our first time both visiting the park and trying Glamping, so we were excited to see what it was all about — and wow, it absolutely exceeded our expectations! We stayed in the Creekside Safari Tents, which are perfect for a family of four or a couple. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away.||The tent itself was stunning — beautifully styled with a luxurious feel. The view from the balcony straight into the bush was magic with bench seats to sit and have breakfast and soak up the nature. The bed was incredibly comfy, the bedding warm and cosy, and the shower was a standout — unique, with endless hot water. We loved roasting marshmallows on the camfire each night, cooking on the BBQ on the balcony, and the outdoor bath? Just wow! It had absolutely everything we needed and more.||The park is a destination in itself. The wildlife was incredible — at one point, we spotted an echidna, kangaroo and kookaburra all hanging out just off the balcony. Kangaroos are everywhere, and the kids absolutely loved it.||From the moment we enquired, the staff were attentive, and that didn’t stop once we arrived. They’ve nailed every part of the guest experience. The pools were great, and although we didn’t use them, the communal areas were spotless and well maintained. There’s so much for kids to do — from nature play to the playground, scavenger hunts, movie nights, and heaps of little adventurers riding around on bikes.||The morning coffees were spot on, and mini golf is just a short stroll up the road. Plus, you’re only five minutes from Halls Gap township. This is hands-down the best and most well-run park I’ve ever stayed in — we’re already planning our return. And the region itself?...

After reading the reviews about this park I was expecting something really incredible. We were already on the back of staying at some pretty amazing holiday parks at half the price anyway so had high expectations for this place with it being double to what we had been paying. Sadly expectations fell a little short. Staff were really friendly, park is well kept overall. What lets this place down is the lack of in-park features for families. The whole park is centered around the 2 pools as the main features. Although it's warm, it was chlorinated beyond belief, so much so myself and my daughter came out itching. Plus, they were heaving! Must have been almost 70-80 people spread across the 2 pools. Next was the playground, for the amount of space in this particular area and the amount of children staying, it surely wouldn't take much to fix the missing swing or even add in a bouncy pillow. The playground was really disappointing and looked pretty sad to be honest. The lack of the trampolines marked on the map disappointed my kids too considering they had the luxury of this at every other campsite we had stayed at. Lastly the toilet blocks were the longest walk we had all holiday and were getting pummeled due to having only 3-4 toilets per gender in the lower end of the park. There were literally hundreds of people staying here and the amount of amenities did not match the amount guests. Aside from those things, great having open spaces next to the park for a walk and so on but sadly due to double the price what we were paying at other discovery parks with much better features and better equipped facilities, we left disappointed. Another toilet block and a better park would have...

Just got back from our annual big family trip here, we have been coming back to this park for over 7 years and there is usually about 30 of us in cabins/powered sites. This was our second year in a cabin and we decided to book "the house" with other relatives, pretty disappointed to say the least, the fridge wasnt working properly, the bbq was out of gas, the floors were filthy! I mopped the whole place out after being there for only an hour as our babys hands and feet were black from crawling around on the floor! The wifi also didnt reach the house so our baby monitor wouldnt work. The house lacked so many simple things (that you would think "the house" would hav) like salt/pepper, sauce, cling wrap etc just to name a few, also a house that can sleep 14 only supplys towels for 6? 🤷‍♂️ We were also very disappointed to find just the park and staff in general have just lost its way, it was always really well run, quiet and just a stunning place to be but now days its seems like a means to get people in and get them out, the staying experience just isnt as good as it used to be, its so packed all the time you can barely even get in the pool with the kids, even the wildlife doesnt enter the park the way it used to! Seems like the whole park has shifted focus from give there customers a wonderful experience while making a profit to just purely book as many people in a possible and make as much as we can! Such a shame this once little gem hidden away is now a breeding ground for melbournites with there massive...

Last stop on our camper roadtrip but first review felt compelled to write. We had planned to stop here one night as we returned camper to Melbourne but when we found this we arrived early and stayed later, 4 nights instead of 1, 2 in our hired motorhome, and 2 in a modern couples cabin. The motor home spot near the open paddock was great, in the middle of everything, the kangaroo visits and the many birds were lovey to be amongst. The facilities were new, and lovely, with a real shower door, in each cubicle. The modern cabin was away from the hub, so we are glad we experienced both. The cabin had everything you need, and a lovey shower too, There are some lovely looking glamping tents right by the wildlife paddock which looked great would have loved to have tried. The two wood fired heated pools were very welcome. The reception sold basic supplies, and some lovely treats, including lovely wine. The ability to have campfires, (carefully regulated) was much appreciated and the ambience of the campsite was enhanced by them definitely. Halls Gap itself is 4km away, so walkable but to embark on the many lovely walks from Halls Gap you may wish to drive first, which we did and had a 6+km walk to a peak, well worth it, and Halls Gap is a lovely little town too. Through our motorhome roadtrip we didn’t find it easy to find intimate, spotless and great sites such as this, as there were more larger parks to choose from, this site had everything and did not feel massively touristy.

We spent 6 nights at Halls Gap Tourist Park, had the trip booked for 6 Month in advance, and throughout that time, communication and booking was easy via email, even an SMS message with extra instructions on the day in case we were running late. The location was perfect for us, central to what we wanted to do everyday and only a few minutes drive to Halls Gap, and the cabin we booked, which was just behind the playground, was perfect for our needs, with 2 boys aged 6 and 8, the playground was a blessing, and it was so nice to see and hear all the kids from other families all playing together, especially hide and seek at dusk with torches, and hiring a fire drum with wood/kindling made for great toasted marshmallows. The Sulpher Crested Cockatoo's and Red Rosella's were extremely friendly, and visited us, as well as other campers daily, the kids loved having the birds land on them for a feed, something the boys hadn't really experienced before. Every few days, the park organised a kids scavenger hunt, to which we all went walking around to search for clues to a question, and the winning kids won a free ice cream, again, a nice touch, something a bit special and fun for the kids. The reception was set up with a small selection of gifts, wines and beers, basic essentials, and a coffee window every morning. The heated pools were a hit with the kids, we went three times whilst we stayed, and overall, the cabin and park were perfect for our stay and what he wanted to do while there.
