Dru Point Bicentennial Park is located 30 minutes out of Hobart, heading up Davey Street, turning left onto the Southern Outlet to Margate. Completed in 1988, this beautiful family-friendly green space is located beside the shore of Storm Bay. This park is both dog and child friendly, providing barbecue and picnic facilities. There are two child friendly areas. One for the early years the other for teen activities. Dru Point includes a Memorial Garden for missing persons, as well as other significant areas dedicated to Indigenous heritage. For example their is a pleasant walk along the shoreline lined with informative plaques acknowledging respect to Country.

Great open park space that has heaps to offer perfect for families has heaps of entertainment for kids and has exercise equipment for people wanting to keep fit plenty of open grassy arias to kick the football or that game soccer . There is also plenty of BBQ locations scattered around for big or small groups . Parking won’t be a problem hear with several places to park . There is a kiosk hear that’s open Friday to Sunday and everyday on public holiday’s and school holiday’s and has a hot and cold food and also coffee .

Brilliant park. There is so much room and different BBQ areas. I love that there is a BBQ hut in the fenced off playground which means if you're lucky enough to book it, you are close to the kids playing. There are two sets of toilets which are well looked after and cleaned. There is play equipment which is suitable for a wide range of ages. Overall, it's a fantastic park which we'll be taking our kids to again for a picnic/BBQ.

Dru Point Bicentennial park is a great location to visit with family and friends. The park itself is completely fenced and there are many fun attractions in the playground for any year, young and old. The public toilets are clean and tidy and they are wheelchair friendly. It is a good place for a picnic or for a short rest while driving across Tasmania. Barbeque tables are available (upon booking) as well as a tennis court. There is also a really fun "road" and traffic signs racecourse for bikes and scooters. If you have some spare time or your kids need a place to burn down their energy then this is the...
