Wanted to get to the Hump but, halfway between the Cathedral and the start of this short walk, I found a black snake standing still onto the path. Having been bitten by a snake in NSW I got a bit nervous so, after passing by, I walked just halfway then I went back. Surprised by seeing it though, giving the not warm temperature (Easter Monday). The landscape is very beautiful though!

A beautiful and very underrated part of Mount Buffalo. There was hardly and visitors here whilst other areas of the park were very busy! Went for sunset and then back again to watch the sunrise. The hike is steep but most people will achieve it without too much hassle. Just give yourself enough time to go slowly. There are toilets on the opposite side of the road too.

A nice easy climb up from the Carpark to the junction to the hump with great views up to The Cathedral along the way. We saw a number of climbers on this mass of rocks and wondered what track they took. I think we found it as we walked down. It looked like a fun adventure to have on a lovely evening. It’s an easy walk up but could be strenuous for the less fit.

A beautiful and very underrated part of Mount Buffalo. There was hardly and visitors here whilst other areas of the park were very busy! Went for sunset and then back again to watch the sunrise. The hike is steep but most people will achieve it without too much hassle. Just give yourself enough time to go slowly. There are toilets on the opposite side of the road too.
