Burns Beach Sunset Village — Attraction in Iluka

Magnificent location…however that’s where the magnificence starts and stops. Shower/toilet facilities are beyond filthy, I arranged an ensuite at an extra cost-to my surprise that had not been cleaned at all. I have just spent the last hour cleaning sh!t off the toilet, hair balls from the shower, and caked on toothpaste from the basin, along with an inch of dust on the bench. My advice is to save your money and go elsewhere. Poor communication from “those who run it”, never return your calls, double book sites and then give you a site totally unsuitable. The only reason this place stays open is because of the location, nothing else!! Also please note that there is a snake located near site 47/46/45…highly venomous!! And no one called to remove it what so ever. Owner doesn’t care, is not phased that a baby was laying in the grass and the snake came within 6 feet of the baby. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU...

Location - We stayed here to be close to our friends therefore due to convenience, one star. There is no where to stay with a caravan in this area. Short walk to the beach to view beautiful sunset, go for a swim or a spot of fishing! Cleanliness - Appalling, public toilets are better maintained. We stayed for two nights and the toilets/showers were disgusting the entire time. They need to be scrubbed from top to bottom. Price - $55 is way over priced especially considering how disgusting the amenities are. Grounds - Immaculate and this is where they get the second star concrete slab with beautiful grass the grounds have been very well kept bbq area needs some work but generally ok. Overall - We would stay here again if we had to visit the same friends. Pets allowed. Staff were friendly and easygoing. They need to adjust the price or clean and fix up...

Unfortunately didn't enjoy my stay. I was told my spot would have views of the ocean however all I could see were a pile of bricks, two fences, a carpark, cars and then just a glimpse of the ocean.

The bathroom facilities were inconvenient to access navigating around the permanent's properties and their yards (which there are SO many of). There is no signage. When I entered, I was overwhelmed by the smell of chlorine/bleach, it was extremely hot and stuffy inside with no fresh air or circulation and everything was wet - including the toilet paper, toilet seats, floor and all shower surfaces (so I couldn't put my clothes anywhere without getting wet).

Privately communicated this to management and received a reply where validation of my experience was dismissed and there was no accountability or ownership of the feedback.
