If you are looking for a place for a good workout during your hike, or if you'd like to ride your bike along a challenging trail, this place is for you. The land has a long history dating as far back to the late 1800s when it was coal mine. At the top of the hill was a 3-storey, 49-room mansion, which unfortunately no longer stands. The only remains of the buildings from the time is an old brick wall of the old dairy. The walk along the trails is pleasant, although there isn't much to see. There is a car park which can be accessed from...

Good mix of single trail carved out of medium density bush land. Some great, well conceived sections where contours of the land have been well used to create blind corners and neat flowing trail.

One strange thing I noticed: there are these brain like dirt mounds spotted around the place. I'm guessing they are built by some local insect but I can't help but wonder if the location is growing real brains and becoming self aware?

If it was becoming self aware, what would it make of me riding all over it? These questions keep me...

A reasonable walking area to take your dog on leash, with plenty of short or longer routes available. Remains of 'estate' at the top of the walk, although not much to see other than a few notice boards. A few okay reviews, but otherwise nothing special. The park area is okay, but not worth going out of your way for on the walk.

Great spot for a short bushwalk. About 30 minutes per walking track. Well kept tracks with decent hills. Some interesting history to learn about coral mining and the old masion "The Castle". Toilet facilities at the main car park. This is also a popular downhill mountain biking park so be sure to take care for bicycles.
