Love the redevelopment of the wetland area. Great walking track, meeting place facilities and entertainment for kids. Pleased to see the extension of the bird cage but really confused and disappointed about the concreting of the floor. This is not natural for wild animals. A year ago I saw several metal troughs on the floor - what could they be for, I wondered? Last week they were still there! One has water in it, the rest are dry. Is this just a storage area, or what? Very weird. One of the parrots was hopping around on the floor with what looks like a broken wing. Also noticed that one of the deer was limping and has a huge growth on it's upper chest/lower neck area. The other deer does not have this so it's obviously not right. Hope someone is getting veterinarian attention for this animal. It's debatable whether wild animals should be caged but if you are going to do it they should, at the very least, be kept in a habitat as natural to their own as possible and given the proper medical treatment when necessary. I have enjoyed stopping at this spot over the years and love the wetland area but think you could really do better for your animals. Good...
