Chris our guide was extremely knowledgeable as he guided us through the national park, discussing plants and their usage. We had a taste of some native foods and learnt the medicinal uses. The Waringarri Aboriginal Arts centre is growing and new mediums are being discovered, textiles, pottery as well as the traditional paintings. We ended with Chris singing to us and his nephew playing the didgeridoo. We sampled damper and honey. We met the local bower bird who nests nearby. Sitting under the trees listening was magical.
