We visited on a weekday for lunch.
Easy parking. Close to town on the road out to Ivanhoe Crossing.
Friendly staff.
Good birds - bower birds and some other pretty birds hanging around the tables on the lawn under the mango trees.
The cafe has an open air undercover seating area right near the servery along with the lawn area. Quite convenient.
Food My friend had the cheese and bacon pretzel and I had food envy. It was served warm and looked great. I had a burger, which for nearly $30 did not feel like good value. The meat patty was a freezer-to-grill pre-made item, and wasn't particularly nice; took the edge off an otherwise fresh and well presented product. That notwithstanding I still finished it.
We paid ~AUD$61 for 1 x soft drink, 1 x iced coffee, 1 x burger, 1 x takeaway piece of cake and 1 x cheese and bacon pretzel.
I would happily go to this cafe again but would just choose a different lunch...

Worse to follow is we send a text message to the site mobile number politely expressing our disappointment we didn't even get a response...............now I am really p*d off. I mean there may have been a reason for the non opening, but there is no excuse for not responding to a...
Read moreNice seating areas under big trees to protect from the sun. Service was prompt and friendly. Ordered two coffees, a breakfast poutine and the mushrooms and eggs. Coffee was good. The mushrooms and eggs were good, though it was lukewarm. The breakfast poutine was very disappointing, it also arrived lukewarm and was missing the hollandaise sauce, which I had to go and ask the confused staff for. It's also about 90% fries and had very little in the way of eggs or bacon. I certainly wouldn't order it again and to be honest it is absolutely nothing...
