Borumba Dam is about 60km due west of Imbil following Yabba Creek Road out of the town. As you can see from these photos many millions of dollars have been spent on the dam the walkway on the dam that leads on to the other side of the Lake. It is a great place for boating enthusiasts and kids and their Mums and Dads to swim. But unfortunately the Wide Bay Burnette council responsible for this region hasn't provided enough facilities for the the elderly or disabled people. These photographs clearly show a disrespect for the needs of people using wheelchairs and their carers. There is no ramp access to this lookout and the toilets and showers need an urgent upgrade.

A beautiful little dam, this is a great spot for family outings on the water. Not a lot of space for large groups and the dam gets choppy with boat wakes quite quickly. But still a wonderful dam for watersports and fishing.

Great flat ground to set up camp in the shade. Powered and unpowered sites. Kiosk has ice and goodies. Great secure shower block with hot showers. Kayaks 4 hire. A Volleyball court. 1km to the dam.

This place has limited to no access to the water and swimming is not allowed. There are limited picnic spots right next to the parking lot and its probably only worth visiting if you have a boat and are keen to get on the water. There wasn't really anything for our kids to do there, so we moved on. Although people canoe and kayak there it seems more set up for...

Borumba Dam Picnic grounds is a day use facility. There is a large well run campsite nearby for those people who like to spend at least a night in the area. The day use area has shelters with picnic tables and benches, BBQ facilities, toilets. Nearby boat ramp allows access to the lake. The area is very scenic and well...
