Had a day trip up here. Facilities are what to be expected at the actual dam and maintained. I couldn't understand the point of having this place open if you can't even walk the dam wall. No access anywhere. It looked rather run down in areas, like the dam wall lookout gazebo. No playgrounds for kids. No swimming. If there were bbq's.. i didn't see them. So take your picnic, a fishing rod and boat, there is nothing to do! As for the camp ground down the road which i thought was another disappointment (no you don't even camp close to the dam), it looked tidy. I could only see 1 block of amenities, with 2 doors per sex with a pin coded locked entry, so makes me wonder is that it? Would be a horrendous wait if the place was packed! No day area use allowed.
