It's a nice spot.. I've definitely been to better spots, however there isn't the issue of big dumping waves, it's a nice calm area, and an even better spot for the kids to play... The sand had loads of broken shells on this occasion which make the sand a little treacherous on your bear feet. And the waters not heaps deep... A good place for kids with little water confidence or still learning to swim to go... The downside of this area, the dirt road into the parking area has more potholes then the moon, so drive slow, and as far as I could tell no amenities. So go to the toilet before you arrive here, is my best advice... and lastly, on the day I went here, it was very busy and parking wasn't not of a premium. That's not to say there isn't much parking but it was considerably busy on the day I went... And the parking lot was full and there were cars parked several hundred meters down the road from the parking area, so be prepared for a dirty car on your return as you park along the dirt road and a bit of a walk to the actual beach area... Finally, make sure you also bring shade, it well be your lifeline...

My sister and I got here early on New Years Eve morning to make sure we got a good spot to set up camp for the night. We were joined later in the day by family and friends and then we put the tent up, set up our gas cooker and filled both of our Esky’s in anticipation of the night ahead. We dug a fire pit on the beach to contain our fire, and we’re treated to fireworks the entire length of the beach from across the water. What a way to see in the New Year!!! We finally called it a night at 6:15 am on the 1st January and retired to our tent after putting out our fire. Beautiful...

Great for families and all sorts of walks of life. Great fishing spots surrounding areas. Perfect spot for a quick swim during the warmer weather. Also the perfect place for pictures, stunning views of the water and boats. Great place for a private little getaway with the family or even just the 2 of you looking for a place to watch the sunset or even the sunrise if your an early bird. Brilliant area for being with the mates on the weekend or even the girls. Safe for water sports and games And great to just watch the water come in and out of...

Awesome enclosed location for SUPing, kayaking, jetsking or simply setting up a beach shelter for the family. Parking is free and can become congested on those hot days, so you should consider parking early. The water is clear and clean without anywaves, be mindful of the tide change though as the tide can create a stronger current near the small channel but easily avoidable at any time though if you don't swim out

A great spot for the family. Good for fishing or a quiet arvo buy the water. The road in is an adventure in a low car but noting just taking it easy won't help. You can chill and watch the planes take off from the nearby airport. No bathrooms so so thing to consider for the family and the bins are often full so bring a spare bag for rubbish. No camping but a sunshade and some chairs make for a quiet and fancy stop
