We had the most delectable vegan feast here today for our anniversary. There are currently a couple of vegan friendly dishes on the menu, but we had experienced the chef's beautiful plant-based creations several months prior so called ahead and asked whether they offered other plant-based dishes. They happily obliged! Our banquet included lovely house made bread, an incredible tempura enoki mushroom entree, delectable dumplings, toffee topped carrots, crispy potatoes and a medley of spring vegetables with flatbread. To top it off was a chocolate mousse & vanilla bean icecream with quinces. We were thoroughly spoilt. Everything was expertly seasoned, beautifully presented and absolutely scrumptious. The service was wonderful too. As always, the views and setting were glorious. If you are vegan, don't hesitate to book even if the menu doesn't list an abundance of options (Just just be sure to call up and give plenty of notice of your dietary preferences). You will be very well looked after!

Always a reliable spot for a relaxing drink and a bite to eat with friends. Without a booking, we managed to get a table outside on the verandah with that glorious view. The 4 of us were looking at a casual feed and to share a bottle of wine. We chose the ‘gourmet platter’ ($49) which was so delicious!! Definitely not your average cheese platter, you can see that it is important to them that they serve up something a little more special. Achieved! And friendly staff aswell.

Lunch followed by a tasting on a quiet Thursday afternoon. The venue, perched atop a hill between Watervale and Clare is stunning. Our host, Andy, was incredibly knowledgeable when it came to the area, the wines, and the different profiles each offered. Prior to our tasting he guided us through the chefs tasting menu. We spend a good 3-4 hours here between lunch and the tasting just soaking up the view and the delicious wares. Highly recommended.

Stunning location, excellent range of top wines and fabulously delicious food in the restaurant. Nice people too. Totally recommend.

A group of us were there for lunch last Saturday. Brilliant! We had a multi-course 'feed me' gourmet experience.

Home-made crusty sour dough bread to start with; then spicy popcorn cauliflower; lobster & pork belly dumplings; amazing gnocchi with sage and saltbush butter sauce; and sticky roast chicken to finish. Then we just had to sample some of the dessert selection including the salted caramel butternut pumpkin tart with vanilla bean ice cream; wattleseed and caramelised chocolate custard topped with a tuile biscuit; and the Affogato. Sensational!!

The customer service was great and the restaurant staff looked after us so well.

As the saying goes, when you're in the Clare Valley, do yourself a favour and make sure you visit O'Leary Walker Wines. Big range of good well-priced wines, beautiful location on the hill looking down various valleys of vineyards - and of course, the gourmet food.

They have Gourmet Platters for lunch every day, with the restaurant doing the full lunch experience on Thursdays to...

Food here is amazing but not able to taste the variety wines on the list. We had a wonderful lunch here with my partner taking in the views. We are returning customers and had fond memories of this place. After lunch I asked the staff about the tasting options, and I was told that there are 3 tasting flight options available. I'm always happy to pay for wine tastings, so I had no issues with the $10 / $15 tasting fee. However, I enquired if it's possible to swap any of the wines on the flights as there are heaps of wines on the list that are not on then flights that I was interested in (Nero D'Avola, Grenache, Malbec, Chardonnay etc.) and the answer was straight NO. "The flights are fixed, we don't do that and no exceptions - Thanks to Covid". Some of the wines I was enquiring about were open on the counter and sold by the class. I was extremely disappointed, I ended up spending nearly $300 here without being able to taste the wines that I was interested in - I had to purchase them from the list full price AND paid for tastings. Next time I will choose a winery that has some more flexibility and is happy to sell their wines to...
