Daisy Hill Conservation Park is a serene and picturesque slice of nature just a short drive from Brisbane, offering a perfect escape for bushwalking, picnics, and wildlife spotting. Spanning beautiful eucalyptus forest, the park is home to a variety of native species, including wallabies, goannas, and an abundance of birdlife. Its peaceful setting makes it ideal for both active outdoor adventures and quiet relaxation.
One of the park’s highlights is the Daisy Hill Koala Centre, where visitors can learn about koala conservation and see these iconic animals in spacious enclosures. The surrounding walking and mountain biking trails cater to different fitness levels, from short, easy loops to longer bush tracks, all well-signposted and maintained. Shaded picnic areas and BBQ facilities make it a great spot for family gatherings or a casual day out with friends.
The park is free to enter, and its accessibility—combined with its natural beauty—makes it a favourite among locals and visitors alike. Whether you’re here for a morning hike, a peaceful lunch under the gum trees, or to connect with Australia’s wildlife, Daisy Hill Conservation Park offers a refreshing and memorable...
Read moreSuch a lovely place to visit, see koalas up close, learn about their natural history, what threatens their survival, and how you can help their conservation. The reason I chose this place over other koala centers is that this one does not allow visitors to hold koalas. During my walk through the native Australian eucalyptus forests, I saw kookaburras, butcher birds, rainbow lorakeets, a wallaby, skinks, tawny frogmoths, and of course several native plant species. Daisy Hill Conservation Park was a highlight of my two-day trip to Brisbane and very much worth the visit. I...
