Deviation Road is definitely my type of winery being boutique and with a focus on quality not quantity. We enjoyed a great couple of hours tasting wines and enjoying the food. Sitting outside under the tree on a beautiful sunny day is a great option. It’s stunning looking over the vines and gardens. You can taste wine from the vines that you can see. It was also perfect for our little cavoodle who loved the opportunity to sniff around. I recommend doing the wine flight. You get to taste 4 wines for $20. I enjoyed all of the wines in the flight plus the follow up glass of Mary’s Reserve Shiraz. The wine was complimented by a cheese and charcuterie board, bruschetta and superb Arancini balls. We had the pleasure of being served by one of the wine making team (Morgan) who was very informative and nice. You can whip in and taste the wines if you want but this place deserves more time. Make it a one stop trip and enjoy Adelaide Hills wine at its best. If you like also join the Sabre Club which also offers a discount on the food and drinks...

I chose the Supreme Sparkling tasting, which cost a steep $45 — and honestly, it just wasn't worth it. The sparkling wines were underwhelming, especially considering the premium price.
To make things worse, the last two sparkling wines were poured in such tiny amounts that you could barely take a proper sip. For $45, are you serious, guys??? That felt more like a tease than a tasting.
You’d be much better off buying a good bottle of Champagne and enjoying it at home. I genuinely wish I could get my money back — the value just wasn’t there. It’s a beautiful location, but the wine experience needs a serious rethink. I hope they reconsider their pricing structure to better reflect the quality and quantity offered.
P.s. thank you for the refund. I've changed my...
Read moreIt was quiet when we arrived without a booking. We felt like we were an inconvenience to squeeze into the mostly empty establishment. Over priced tastings, were scant. I would have been happy to pay $35 for four tastings as described on the menu. The menu states it's equivalent to about one and a half glasses. I would have estimated half a glass total at best. There was more wine in one $10 glass of wine ordered by my partner. Poor service, no chit chat, banter or sympathy when the wind blew the wine chart spilling wine...
