This is an excellent area for kids, exercising your dog, and there are lovely bush walks around the creek and Canning River. I live nearby - my back gate opens onto the creek. From here you can walk to Riverton Bridge or Kent Street Weir: there are restaurants at both places. BANNISTER CREEK PLAY AREA AT IVESTON Rd: Has a flying fox, swings, and walk/cycle track.

The playground is not super big and only has a few parking spots available. I went today feel somehow a bit rundown, grass is long and the equipments looks a bit tired. Good thing is the book library still keeping well, there are plenty of books there.

Nice little playground, peacefully surrounded by the bush. The kids liked the little walkway over the river, the flying fox, and collecting all sorts of nature items (gumnuts, grasses, fallen wattle pods). Quiet even during school holidays. Could use a grass patch for babies to sit and play on, and also would recommend wearing a natural mosquito repellent. The little library is no...
