Just now close to sunset at the lake I found some bottles of GCV in the wine compartmented of my campervan and I thought that's the right moment to celebrate a lovely evening with an 2015 Alices Shiraz 17% (!). After uncorking it tasts a bit flat and average, more like 12%. You are disappointed with a wine of such a big name. You talk or eat a bit and forget the wine. Time goes by. You have another sip. Amazing - you are hit by the change of taste. Light fruit, lightly vanilla and peppery in the nose, intensive dark red fruits like cherry, strawberries, plum on the palate with a peppery note like it should be with a shiraz. You write a review and forget the sunset and taste again and again. Thank you GCV for the experience !

Fantastic wines, lovely knowledgeable host (Jen). We did the $15 tasting experience but Jen snuck in a couple of extras as they happened to be open and she was feeling generous. Was great to compare wines from different blocks and regions. Really appreciated being snuck inside with the doggos when other visitors left as it was super chilly on the verandah. The dogs were very grateful too (see pic). We purchased a few wines that we will save for special occasions.

Some wineries have personality, and some have A personality. Greenock has Jen. Greenock has some of the most consistently solid wines at their various price points. There was not a wine that we tried that we wouldn’t happily drink. As for Jen, she simultaneously handled us and two other groups. All were charmed with stories and by her personal touch. We left smiling and wanting to continue buying Greenock wines.

From the moment we stepped into Greenock Creek Winery, we were met with the warmest welcome imaginable—thanks entirely to our server’s genuine charm. She guided us through a beautifully curated tasting flight, sharing her passion for each varietal and offering thoughtful insights into the vineyard’s history.

Every pour was exceptional, but it was her attentive, upbeat manner that truly made the visit unforgettable. She anticipated our questions, remembered our preferences, and went out of her way to ensure we felt at home. It’s rare to encounter service that’s both professional and so delightfully personal.

If you’re after outstanding wines served with heartfelt hospitality, Greenock Creek Winery is an absolute must—especially if you get lucky enough to be served by this wonderful lady (I’m sorry I have forgotten...

Barossa & Light Cab Service, Barossa's only 100% locally owned and operated cab/taxi provider are proud to be writing the first review for Greenock Creek Vineyard and Cellars, and we give them a 5 star rating because of their central location at the new cellar door, and that they have ultra-premium wines on offer that are only grown and produced from their vineyards. We often recommend Greenock Creek Vineyard And Cellars to our guests when we are on wine tour. The Granache in particular is a stand out here. All the wines here are single vineyard, and this is something that we love. Greenock Creek Cellar door is perfectly located on Seppeltsfield Road, and is within close location to many accommodation providers,...
