We had an absolutely fantastic time with Railtrack Riders! The experience was unlike anything I've ever done before. Riding along the old railway tracks on a railbike was not only thrilling but also incredibly scenic. What truly set this experience apart was the informative guide, Trevor (and pre ride with Steve). They were knowledgeable about the history of the area and the railway, providing fascinating insights throughout the journey. Learning about the local heritage added a whole new dimension to the adventure. I highly recommend Railtrack Riders to anyone looking for a unique and educational outdoor activity. It's a great way to explore the beautiful countryside while being guided by someone who genuinely cares about the history and environment. I can't wait to do it again!

What a fun and unique experience! Our party of 6 had 2 carts. Adults pedal in the front seats, and children in the back get a free ride. Made the quads burn on a couple of slight inclines, but don't worry, there is a quad bike to help you along if you struggle. But for those who WANT to pedal... make sure you're more towards the front. If you get stuck behind people who don't want to pedal or can't, you have no choice but to be pushed. Don't worry! At the mid way mark, when the carts get turned around, they can be rearranged. Slower people at the back!! We had so much fun, and Trevor and Steve were fantastic guides. Even the rain didn't dampen our spirits!! Thank you for a fantastic experience.

We didn't really know what to expect from Railtrack Riders (aside from the photos on here), but we had such a good time! Our guide Stephen was absolutely fantastic - providing us with an excellent adventure full of history. Even though we're avid cyclists, we did feel it in our quads on the shallow ascents a few times - but the guide has a quad bike to push you along if you're in need of a break, so this is definitely something for all ages and cycling abilities. This is such a unique experience, definitely book ahead and do this if you can! Definitely going to do this again one day!

What a fun experience to be had in Maydena. Highly recommend this bike trip along the railway!

I hadn't actually read or heard about Railtrack Riders before travelling to Maydena. We saw some people on bikes on the rail way track and then came across the sign. We were able to book that day.

Lucky us there was and I'm so glad we did. It is a really unique way to get up and close with the beautiful forests of this area. We had Grant as our host and what a great guy. At the end of the trip you jump out and take a lovely walk through the forest and then back to a shed which has an excellent overview of the history of the area. Photos of the last Tasmanian Tigers in the area. I really enjoyed my chat with Grant about the history of logging and all things Maydena.

To top off our experience, Grant ended up saving the day and the entire trip for myself and daughter. I ended up losing my mobile phone in the forest as I hadn't zipped up my pocket. It had everything i needed (credit cards, drivers licence, cash, etc) plus our GPS! Grant was amazing as he jumped back on to his motor (he drives behind you while you pedal) and he journeyed all the way back, in the rain, to find my mobile phone. Of course the mobile phone had a green case and I had dropped it in the green forest.

End of story is that Grant managed to find my mobile and what a super star!!

Definitely do yourself a favour and have fun taking a trip with Railtrack Riders in Maydena. (Also - the cost of your ticket goes into the community fund to keep these things going and take care of the area. Well worth...

Made a group booking of 39 people in advance. They charge us for 40, when we rang them up they after denying couple of time, finally excepted that hey made a miscalculation . They didn’t count the family discount saying,”we can’t give a family discount if you book in a large group”. Insane, 1st place in entire country who doesn’t give discount on large group. In fact their web shows family of 4 should be charged $80. Geoff, contact person didn’t take it positively when I point out their miscalculation, got angry and hung up on me. I didn’t bother regarding getting refund but it’s not fair. Thank god that I did have a conversation I had with him on my phone and in msg history.

I sent an email hoping the management will get back to me but it looks like single person handles all so obviously didn’t get any reply. Beware from this Shify business n operator. Simply...
