We had a fantastic stay with our two children 5 & 7 over the weekend. The property is beautiful, with lovely gardens around the two cottages and plenty of room for the kids to run free. ||||Karina and Bob were incredible hosts and made us all feel very welcome. Karina showed us where to find the cows and alpacas and where to find their feed. The animals were ||friendly and Pumpkin the cow was amazing at being fed, the kids loved her. We were also shown where the chooks were and where to collect eggs in the morning, though fresh eggs were supplied in the breakfast hamper, which was delicious. And the veggie patch was just phenomenal. We all loved picking the fruit and veggies, especially the strawberries, delicious!||||We were super lucky with the weather, and the kids fed the animal every morning and evening and roamed the grounds and helped water the garden in the afternoons as well.||||Harvest Farm is only a few minutes drive from the Healesville Sanctuary and the town itself so there is lots of things to do if you want to get out and about. We took the kids to the Healesville pool, but both just wanted to get back to feed the animals!||||The Diary cottage was very cute, clean and had plenty of natural light. The kitchen was lovely, with every thing needed to cook those delicious hand picked veggies. The bedrooms were large and the bathroom lovely and clean with a great spa and the linen and towels fresh and soft. ||||We also had a peek in the Harvest House which was also super cute and equally well appointed. Both had lovely decking, great seating for out side and surrounded by gardens with an excellent BBQ. ||||We had the most wonderful time and cannot thank Karina and Bob enough. Just such lovely people! We will be back for another weekend away soon, just not soon enough. ||||Thank you...

The playground was also a lovely touch. The garden was beautiful as well. We can tell how much detail the owner puts into decorating the house, with many little homey details that made it feel like a real rustic farm house. We did enjoy the fireplace very much, and the quiet surroundings made it a great escape from the city.
The not so good: Maybe we visited in the wrong season (Aug) as the heating was insufficient. There was a fireplace and A/C with heat in the living room, but the wall heater in the bedroom was insufficient - we had to sleep in Uniqlo ultra warm heat tech and we still woke up shivering. The kitchen and toilet had no heating so it was absolutely freezing. Also, since it is a historic farmhouse with minimal renovation done, it is a little run down (peeling paint on floors, gaps in the floor board, slightly dusty in the corners).
The neutral: there’s no wifi which wasn’t a big issue for us but do take note if it’s a necessary feature for your booking
Summary: It’s a lovely laidback place but in our opinion was not worth the...
