The worst priest I have ever encountered. I don't know how someone who works at the temple, and who adorns the god every day with flowers and mantras, can be filled with so much negativity and hatred. The priest who works here is extremely arrogant, and makes the trip to the temple nothing but a nightmare. We have been to this temple multiple times, and he has always been very rude and disrespectful to the devotees. Once, during an archanai, the priest asked us all to come to one side to hand over the vibuthi, sandhanam, etc. When one of my friends very politely asked which side he was referring to, his exact words were, "indhe pakkam tha, moolai ye konjam use pannunge," in a very rude tone. This translates to, "come this side, use your brain a little." We were so shocked after that; we quietly prayed and went back home in disappointment. Another time, it was 10 minutes before closing time, and a few devotees were still in the temple. I asked the temple manager if I could quickly sing a song for the god, and he very politely said I could. So I started singing, and the priest quickly walked up to me while I was singing and said it was too late and he had to sleep. I felt very upset and dejected; I stopped singing right away and left the place as soon as possible. Now, my friends and I consciously try not to go to this temple, all because of this priest, what a shame! I am seeing that this priest already has a lot of bad reviews here from many devotees, and I genuinely do not understand why the temple committee still hasn't done anything about it. I kindly request they do something about him before he drives more...
Read more1 star is not for the temple, but for the so called priest. We are expecting a baby tomorrow (23/12/2019) and getting admitted in the hospital today at 5 pm. We hurried up to get to the temple for blessing as it said it closed at 12:30pm and reopened at 4:00pm. I know we should act fast and be there on time but as my wife is heavily pregnant, it slows down things. We still got there at 12:28pm. We just wanted to go in and take blessing but he didnt allow us in. We felt very bad for not being able to get in and had to return home with a very heavy heart. How long would it take for us to quickly take the blessing??? Would it cost him anything?? Also to mention that there was no one else except us to visit the temple that time which meant, it wouldnt take much time. God would never do that. God would never send anyone back from the door!!! I can't even say I am never coming back because it's a temple and I have to. Had it been any other place with that priest in, I would...
