Beautiful beach. It's a little hidden away from the public which makes it better. Be careful to swim where there aren't many rocks because they can be sharp and unsteady underfoot. The wind tends to blow around a lot of sand, so it's best to visit when it isn't too windy. If you choose to walk/run the beach line, bring appropriate shoes as the surface isn't smooth. Somers beach is a splendid part of the Mornington Peninsula worth exploring.

Whitsundays near Melbourne. Make sure you pick a time a couple of hours either side of low tide, and Somers beach really opens up to you. On a sunny day, you could be walking along an exotic deserted beach anywhere in the world. Perfect to recharge your batteries, whether it's for an hour or a day.

Clean, beautiful, ever changing beach. Stairs from car park can be hard work. Fantastic place to swim and snorkel. Lots to see beneath the waves. No big waves or swells means great beach for children. Lots of responsible dog owners. Dolphins swim by most mornings and afternoons.

Had a great day with my wife and the dogs at the beach. We found a quiet spot away from the other people and had a lovely swim with the dogs in the ocean.

The car park was pretty full but had a few spots available so we had no trouble parking and getting the dogs and bags out of the car.

If you love to bring your dogs with you to the beach this is a fantastic place to go. But you have to keep them on the...

It's a secluded, rocky beach. There's a off street parking area and there's a wooden set of steps (100 steps) leading to the shore. Good for walks but there was lots of seaweed washed ashore which on the day we visited . Foreshore appeared a bit abandoned and unkempt. When you walk down from 100 steps ( opposite direction from yatch club) there's a off leash dog play area but dogs must be on leash all...
