A decent spot if you're looking for a calm nature walk. The trail itself is fairly well-maintained, and I had no trouble following the path. It's mostly a flat track, which is great for people who don’t want anything too strenuous. What I liked most was the serene atmosphere; it's a peaceful place with just the sounds of nature around you. However, there isn’t a lot of diversity in the views along the way—mostly trees and shrubs—so it might not be the most visually exciting walk for some people. The absence of rest areas could be a drawback for those needing a break along the way. Also, if you're into photography, there aren’t many standout spots, but it's still a good place for a quiet walk. Overall, I would recommend it for a quick getaway...
Read moreWords cannot describe our experience here. The staff was very knowledgeable. We were here in Feb and got to witness loggerhead hatchlings dig there way to the surface. We also had the chance to touch them and watch them scurry into the ocean. If this wasn't enough we also found out right before we were going to head back to camp that a mother loggerhead had made her way onto the beach and was laying her eggs. So we also got to witness that as well. As we were walking back to the center full of excitement from what we had just witnessed, two little flat back turtle hatchlings (found only in Australia) were trying to make there way to the ocean right in front of us. Would definitely recommend checking this out. One more thing to check off the...
Read moreThe walking track to the Turtle experience was easy for myself and not too bad for my husband who has an ankle fusion. We also had a wheelchair in our group who managed the track well. It is really well maintained however as you come on to the beach there is an incline and soft sand which my husband found a bit more challenging! We walked to the experience from the Turtle Sands caravan park and in hindsight we should have driven there, as by the time we had walked back my husbands ankle was pretty sore!! Also thank goodness we had taken the torches as after 7.30pm it is total black out to protect the wild life..it was a bit creepy doing the walk back to the caravan park in the pitch black. Fantastic experience, definitely a "bucket...
