A must-do experience awaits you aboard this charming train run by dedicated volunteers who bring the journey to life with their vibrant personalities. Make sure to secure your seat by booking tickets online for your preferred time slot, or take advantage of free access with National Trust membership purchased online, check upon arrival. Ample parking is available, and you are well taken care of throughout the trip. Note that the train does not operate on extremely hot days. Remember to bring water and immerse yourself in 45min sightseeing and history narrated through an engaging audio track. While a few stops along the way offer a chance to stretch your legs, there are no amenities onboard. This fantastic and affordable trip caters to both the young and old, making it a memorable experience for all passengers.

A must do experience. The volunteers that run the train are a really great bunch of characters. A laugh a minute. Book your tickets online if you can as you will be guaranteed to get a seat at your chosen time. Plenty of parking and you really get looked after . Train will not run on a really hot day tho . Take plenty of water with you and be prepared to enjoy the hour of sight seeing and history. A couple of stops along the way let you get of and stretch your legs ..... but there are no amenities... so don't drink too much water . A fantastic trip .

Well priced. Approximately 1 hour train ride. On the day we went it was EFPOS only. No cash. The train ride was accompanied with commentary by the train guide. The train made two stops along the way. The first stop was a point of interest and the second stop you disembarked and walked around looking at visual boards once back on the train it continues down the track with more history.

50 minutes on a little train with heaps of carriages, we covered every square inch of the huge copper mine site! Expert, informative, easy to understand recorded and live commentary from volunteers. Really interesting tour, great value at $12 for adults and $5 for kids, and there's so much to see at the station! Not good for younger kids as they have no interest in boring talks & chemical reactions!! Maybe they need to get the Men's shed to make some interesting landmarks and pertinent, relevant points of interest to keep the kids engaged for the whole 50 minutes? There are some things on the road but the more the better. They need more...
