Gorge Day Visitor Area — Attraction in Mount Buffalo

Nice lookout which provides stunning 360-degree view of the valley below. It can get very crowded during early afternoon, so it's best to visit it during early morning hours to get the space for yourselves and the sunrise view will be an added bonus. The lookout is located just in front of the iconinc The Chalet. Plenty of car park available both at the The Gorge parking area as well as at The Chalet parking. Since the lookout is next the car parking, it's accessible to everyone.

A great spot to take the family for a weekend adventure or day trip. There's plenty of great lookouts, accessible car parking and toilets onsite. The chalet is also nearby for some great food and coffee. Getting up to Mt Buffalo is a winding mountain road (not recommended for learner drivers or those that are not confident). Snow chains don't always need to be fitted to your car depending on weather but they must be carried in the car at all times to avoid a fine.
