Viewfield Garden — Attraction in Mount Macedon

I had a disappointing experience at Viewfield Garden today. The gate was open, and there were no signs indicating that it wasn't open to the public. Further there were no business hours listed on their google profile.

However, within a few minutes, I was approached by a woman who did not introduce herself or specify her role within the garden. Instead of a friendly greeting, she immediately asserted that I was on private property and should not be there. While I promptly acknowledged her instructions and began to leave, her demeanor remained confrontational, which was off-putting.

It's essential for publicly listed spaces, especially gardens, to communicate their access policies clearly to avoid misunderstandings. While I understand the importance of respecting private property, a more courteous approach would have made the situation much...

recommend to put a sign for people who pass by and want to vist. telling not to come in during certain non business hour. cos Google map wouldn't show straight away that's a private garden or open freely anytime.

I walked in by mistake at 4.50. a dog tracing me and bark. quite scary. people with kids should be careful. owner was nice to tell not to come when no people at the gate.
