Great little spot! There is a great little play area for the kids at the car park area. There is another play ground like a nature play area near Dome. There is a little beach area to sit on and watch the kids play either in the sand or on the shoreline. Paying customers can sit in Dome. It is also a boat ramp. I’ve easily got lost watching boats and JetSkis go up and down the river. Dome being there is a great little asset as you can get a drink or feed with an amazing view. Dome also provides takeaway. Public toilets are located in the car park with disability access also. Dome has their own toilets also. There is 3 ACROD parking spots. It’s been known that people park in the yellow stripes. It is a busy area so at times parking can be hard. There is some undercover shade huts and a couple of benches around. BYO blanket, chairs or own shade options is recommended. There is BBQ facilities but unsure if free or coin operated.

Great spot to relax and enjoy the riverscape and the views of the city from this beautiful point. There are two excellent playgrounds on either side of the point and a big new Dome coffee shop right on the point that has inside and outside tables. There are public places for filling up your water bottle or having a drink, beautiful lawns, a jetty that extends North towards the city from the point, barbecues and barbecue tables. Plenty of parking is available on the south side of the point in a large car park and also along the street. It is an extremely pleasant place to come for a picnic. The south side of the point is a popular water skiing place with boats and skiers often there in the summer. The photos that accompany this review were taken in the early morning in the winter. There are restrooms in the Dome of course and a large public toilet block on the south side of the point at the back of the car park.

If you have boat take it to Deep Water Point and have a ski or just cruise around our beautiful river It’s a top spot to launch your boat and you have terrific trailer parking available. It’s a very popular location for boat people and a great place to take the kids for a swim or a BBQ. Sit on the lawn and picnic or go into the Dome for a great coffee and a beautiful lunch The place is perfect for celebrating birthdays especially kids functions Well done City of Melville this is another winner a perfect location with heaps to do and it’s in great condition We love walking around here and having a coffee afterward Go and try it if you haven’t already I certainly recommend this spot Cheers Trev

It's a beautiful area for walks or chill. There's a Dome just along this area. You can have your coffee while you watch the river or you could be at the public benches looking out for dolphins. Kid you not, I have seen dolphins swimming by. It was so fascinating. Occasionally you also see jetski'ers passing through. It's pet friendly, child friendly. Basically just a friendly place. I have been here a couple of times and will come back again. It's a peaceful calming spot for your walks or alone time.

First time at this reserve yesterday, we had a breakfast at the Dome Cafe and then walked up to the yacht club, very relaxing and enjoyable experience, the playground equipment looks suitable for all ages, the water was clean and sparkling with plenty of birdlife to watch if you enjoy that. I would only suggest that the council creates more car parking bays, as we were not permitted to park in the boat parking bays on the other side and the parking was very crowded.

There is not much here other than a jetty, a small playground with some green space, a bbq and a coffee shop (Dome)- it's more of a pit stop really than a destination. Biking/walking trail along the river is lovely and there is not much around here between Leach Highway and Canning Highway. With all the moored boats around here though I would not swim or wade in the water here - especially with kids.
