This place coffee has gone down hill in a big way. When the owner took over in the beginning he use to care and make great coffee. Now coffee is terrible. They make it in a rush with the same milk for everything just use the spoon to hold back the froth. Worse was I asked for a mocha with almond milk walked down the street and realised they gave me a flat white with regular milk. Went back and the barista said sorry. Just put choc mixture, stirred and gave it back. Firstly it was barely warm, you could tell I drank out of it and they used the same spoon that they stir and hold back froth for everyone’s drink so now they stirring everyone’s drink with a dirty spoon and germs on it. The owner was their and saw my face and goes would you like us to heat it up. Seriously why wouldn’t you make a new one since you made the mistake. Only once I said it was the wrong milk did he make a new one. Another note, they use to have large cups and do a promo buy a card for 10 coffees $45 and get free upgrade to large. Now to save cost they don’t have large cups and in stead call the reg cups large. This is terrible. In stead of trying to con customer you should just focus of making good coffee and good service. I use to come here often when the owner first brought the cafe and made great coffee the correct way. But slowly over the years it’s gotten worse and worse. Taking short cuts and staff not knowing how to froth milk for each type of coffee. Last year I wrote a review cause the barista was adding hot water when they didn’t froth enough milk. Been a few times since then but this was the worse ever I’ve ever seen someone make coffee and...
Read moreWent for a dine In late breakfast, seating was easily available on a Saturday morning and clean, ordered through the app ( the cafes preferred option) which I found slightly annoying due to the lack of customizability and the processing fee but not the end of the world, although the service was great and very fast even for two meals two drinks ( including steak and pancakes) waiters were friendly and quick. The drinks were definitely good, pancakes were great although I found the steak and chips pretty average, the steak was fine and I’m usually just not into steaks but I found the eggs underdone, even for my taste- especially when compared with the medium-well steak. I enjoyed the lighting and atmosphere and enjoyed looking at the art on the walls and especially the fact they were for sale. Outdoor area looked nice and had good shade. Overall enjoyed my experience but would probably get something less lunch-y next time as that seems to be the strong point Edit: coffee is good + water station looks cool but takes a second...
Read moreI have been a regular here for nearly 3 years and it’s a great cafe! The food is consistently nice. I’ve had a range of cabinet items, eggs (recommend the fritters with bacon and the breast burger), my favourite are the savoury muffins in particular the cheese and Vegemite one is a real treat toasted!
It can get busy but it would be rare that you can’t find a seat if you wait a minute or two.
The coffee is good, I’ve had hundreds of cups and always good and I’m definitely a coffee snob. Lovely owners and daily newspapers available. Top it off with free street parking means it a great go to and I will continue to be a regular! If you have kids they have high chairs and there is a small park across the road or deep water point a short drive/walk away. I would say it’s not overall toddler friendly in that there is no designated play area but grab your food to go and head over the road for an easy...
