Great historical area with lots of information boards, stories and a brilliant feel of the outback and sheep shearing when this was operational. This is one of the main stops when in Mungo National Park, and it's very close to the information centre, with toilets, picnic benches and viewing platforms. The historic shearing shed is a very impressive building. Unfortunately there was little explanation of how the process of shearing, grading and bagging the wool, and transporting it was managed. There was also little information about the construction of the shed which looked quite different to other shearing sheds...

Surrounded by bush lands this is a great piece of history. A true taste of outback and sheep shearing as it would have been. Great picnic tables and eating area to make a day of visiting the wool shed and then venture out to tour the Walls of China or venture on the four wheel...
