Cookies Beach — Attraction in New South Wales

Fantastic beach. Clean with soft sands and clear water, not at all crowded. The ocean here is good for swimmers & novice boarders as it's quite shallow, sloping gently out to at least 100m out from the shore, with few changes in depth to create channels, particularly to the south of the beach near the rocks and boat ramp. The curve of the bay makes it quite sheltered also. There's a current that runs north to south, but on the two days we visited it wasn't strong.
