Dont bother with the Gold Coast. Don't bother with the more touristy parts of the South-East coast if you want an amazing day at the beach. Drive the extra distance and have the beach to yourself! The whole region around Hastings, Pottsville and Cabarita are amazing and offers solitude on beaches that are pet friendly.

This is one of the most beautiful beaches I go for walking the dogs it stretches almost 3km long for a proper walk & if it gets too hot there are bush walk track options right behind/next to the beach & lots of whales to see during whale-season (June - October) 🐳💕

Pleasant beach and, apparently, a dog off leash one too. The pooches were all well behaved though. Actual beach is set back about 200 metres from the road. There's a moderate amount of parking available there.
