Staying at North Star resort for two weeks and I won’t be back. The table hadn’t been wiped over. Still had the last persons food on it. The water glass had lipstick on it. The top of the bench chair hadn’t been cleaned. It was covered in a black dust.

The waitress with the accent was so daft. She took our order and table number and still kept taking our food to other tables or bringing us stuff we didn’t order. When you told her you didn’t order it she would argue the point with you.

The chicken Parma I ordered was brown on top and the crumb was white underneath. The crumb was also completely soggy and had no crunch. Worst Parma I have ever had. The other meals were not comparable in size even though they were a similar cost. Half the table was still hungry.

Don’t...

For $38 my daughter and I had breakfast here. Both had the Buffett and then added a capaccino for me and a hot chocolate for her. For the same money we could have gone to a local cafe and had fresh prepared meals off a menu and full table service. The food @ Rippled is basic. Buffet of soggy bacon, mediocre sausage etc. Kids helping themselves (where are their parents?) sniffling and coughing over the food in the buffet trays (which are just at that nose / mouth height for kids). Getting a park was a PITA because there are 'staff only' parks out the front, 2x 5 min only parks and only 3 "customer parks" ... Why can't staff park on the other side over past the caravan park entrance? I think I'll stick with...

As a fellow business owner, it is extremely disappointing when a negative review is done lightly. However when there is a genuine constructive feedback, I believe it is a blessing in disguise. We came in as a big group yesterday afternoon to have some coffee and drinks. I do not know whether they were understaffed and they felt stressed but one staff member was a bit rude. We were fine for it coming out a bit late, or that he had to place it on the end of the table as he “couldn't get through because of all the prams” your tone of voice and sometimes a smiling face can make all the difference. We didn't feel very welcome. Nonetheless, It is a beautiful cafe, average coffee...

Hubby and I stopped here for lunch, amazing food. Hubby had the Fettuccini Carbonara it was really good, and I had the Beer Battered Flathead it was really good and the fish was cooked well the chips were nice and crispy and the salad was nice and fresh. We also had the Cheesy Garlic Bread it was good too. The Pina Colada was good too. The staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend going to have a look 🙂🙂.

First and foremost the staff at Ripples are extremely kind and cheerful which really sets the mood for a holiday resort. We were unsure about the water dragons hanging around at dinner but it's not an experience you often get and they're quite chilled. Great tasting, hot coffee with a smile (smiling eye's count 😜) and a chat daily what more could you ask for.

This place is a hidden gem tucked in between Northstar caravan park watersides and the service station. Great specials and perfect winter warmers for those day trips to the beach. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and even soft serve ice cream for the kids. Recommend you try this place atleast once.
