Newcastle Breakwall it's a nice place to go for a quiet walk up to the end of the breakwall the scenic views are really good the breeze is nice and it's quite relaxing I used to take my dog for a walk up to the end of the breakwall and back when I was about 15 I used to fish off the breakwall catch some nice flathead quite large ones I haven't been fishing off the end of the breakwall for quite some time but I do recommend going for a walk up the breakwall and enjoying the view from mwh

Beautiful walk along the sea. Beautiful place to take pictures. This breakwater protects the Newcastle port area. Pathway is built properly for walking There is a seal 🦭 living close to the breakwater and you’ll be able to see its playing on the rocks. Fishing is allowed. Dogs are allowed on lead. No place to get drinkable water or no toilets available close by.

Very nice and interesting walk with a great view. It was a good distance with kids from the free car park, although it was super windy when we went and the sand hitting your skin hurt a bit and got in your eye. Definitely worth it though. We didn’t venture onto the actual break wall in case some huge waves hit as we had the kids.

This is a beautiful place. Over the years, we have enjoyed walks and bicycle rides along the Breakwater. We often take 'bubble wands', which we use to make bubbles. It is quite magical to watch them float over the waves. This is something my child really enjoyed when she was younger. I should also warn anyone that ventures out on to the Breakwater. This is a dangerous place due to the possibility of freak waves. It is also the habitat of snakes. The final comment I should make is that there should be an acknowledgement that the ashes of many souls are scattered here. It is a sacred place, and one should be respectful of the fact. Enjoy your walk and stop by Nobbies lighthouse if the...

First breakwall I've walked on so as far as breakwalls go, this one is pretty good. Easy stroll from Nobbys Beach and the weather was perfect; a mild 20 degrees. Personally I enjoyed watching the tug boats guide 2 bulk carrier vessels in to port. A few other people and kids seemed to enjoy seeing them at work too. On that note, seems like a good walk to take family and pets (saw a lot of dogs). There's also access to the beach at various points along the walk. Safety wise parental discretion is advised when it's windy and you've got little kids. The water can break pretty hard and wash over. Other than that it's...

Beautiful along here any time of year. Lovely winter morning and a nice walk along the pier. We saw dolphins as well as a seal. You can spot the seal in my photos. The Cafe is always popular with some of the nicest chips 🍟 in Newcastle. The park is popular for families with plenty of jungle Jim's and other play equipment. BBQ's are free and there is plenty of shade and covers over BBQ area. Horseshoe Beach ⛱️ is dog 🐕 friendly and has a different aspect for photos 📸. Plenty of interesting facts along the pier as well which you can scan and listen to. Go in. It's free and...
