Stunning Falls - but maps has incorrect directions

I attempted to navigate to the falls by navigating to the Toorongo Falls Walk on Google Maps or via the place marker for the falls. It directed me to turn left instead of right when coming into Noojee and sent me up a dirt road used by logging trucks. You cannot get to the falls from here and it will take you on an hour trip through some very isolated roads with no phone reception. Make sure you turn right towards Mount Baw Baw and drive past the Noojee pub to ensure you are on the right track. Once you get there the falls are absolutely stunning, the entire river up to the falls had plenty of water and some mini falls along the way, it is well worth doing the full circuit loop to both of the hikes and taking some time to enjoy the...

If you're in the Noojee area, this is a must do. There's ample parking, toilets and picnic tables at the start of the walk, easily accessible by 2WD. There's no disability or pram access on this walk and it's for the moderately fit, as it's uphill with some steps either way on the loop. We got confused by the sign at the fork in the loop. I've seen from an old photo that the top half of the sign is missing. So to go to Tooronga Falls go right at the sign or go left to Amphitheatre Falls. Taroonga Falls is the most spectacular of the two but the section between them is short and level most of the way so it's easy to do both. Plus the walk along the river section of the Amphitheatre...

Amazing walk! Did it in February in 30 degree weather. There were spots you could do a little bit of rockclimbing to get into the water. Not really suitable for little kids - and don't take a pram! The walk is relatively easy - it is a well worn path with good (if lots of) steps. It is waterfalls - so expect to go up some steep long paths. Take lots of breaks to enjoy the scenery. Loved this little hike - will definitely do it again. Took around 1.5-2hours as we stopped frequently to enjoy the views and spent a bit of time at the viewing platforms enjoying the waterfalls. Limited to No mobile reception - make sure to have maps...

What a great place with two stunning waterfalls on a great loop track! Although it is muddy at the moment the amount of water coming down the falls & river make it worth it! Warning: do not follow the map, it takes you up a winding dirt track that ends in a dead end! Make sure you are on Toorongo Valley Rd. We were lucky and found a local at the end of the track who kindly redirected us! ** Came back 4 months later (24/1/2020) because we liked it so much! Places is as good as we remembered, there is HEAPS of water coming down both falls, however the track is much less muddy, which is an added bonus! Yet another brilliant visit.

This is number one attraction in Noojee, this look out is a small viewing platform with a view of the Toorongo Falls. It is a pleasant spot to just rest and enjoy the sights and sounds of a lovely waterfall gushing down the hillside. From here there are two options. You can return back down the same trail, making it a 1.5km return trip. Or you can make it a 2.2km loop by continuing across the hillside to the Amphitheatre Falls on a longer trail back to the car park.
