Toorongo Falls Reserve is an absolute gem and well worth the visit! The location is breathtaking, tucked away in nature yet easily accessible with clear signage and a well-maintained road leading to the reserve. The car park is convenient, and the walking tracks are well marked, making it easy for all fitness levels to enjoy.
The short loop walk takes you through lush forest filled with ferns, towering trees, and the calming sounds of birdsong. Both Toorongo Falls and Amphitheatre Falls are spectacular—powerful, refreshing, and picture-perfect. The trails are shaded, peaceful, and provide that true “escape into nature” feeling without being too difficult.
The facilities are excellent too—picnic areas, tables, and spaces to relax after your walk. It’s a fantastic spot for families, couples, or anyone wanting to spend quality time outdoors.

Read moreI absolutely love this spot on earth, so beautiful and peaceful. The loveliest camp-site at the base of the Falls with decent facilities. First come first serve so get there early for a spot! The Amphitheatre and Tooringo Falls loop walk takes about 45 mins at a steady pace for any mildly mobile person, although it is steep in parts. Don't be put off with the 1-2 hours suggestion on the sign, it won't take you that long unless you're a snail, although do take time and look at each view point, so many people bypassed a great view of the entire Falls which is really quite overwhelmingly tall as it's not overly obvious at first glance. I need to get back there with my ND filters, I only had my 4stop with me which was sufficient but I would like to return to push the long exposure further. Be aware, phone signal is non existent out there, so if you rely on Google maps, be prepared...
