Five stars for Paradise Caves at Noosa! If you’re looking for a stunning adventure, this spot is well worth the walk. And what a walk it is! The trail is not only scenic but truly beautiful—think lush greenery, ocean views, and the kind of landscape that makes you wonder if you're on the set of a nature documentary. Definitely bring water because the hike will make you thirsty, and you’ll want to stay hydrated for when you finally reach the caves.
Pro tip: time your visit around low tide! The path is only fully accessible then, and you'll want to avoid an impromptu swim if you’re not paying attention to the tides. And guess what? You don’t need fancy hiking boots. Birkenstocks are more than enough to get you there (although maybe leave the stilettos at home).
Once you arrive, the caves are absolutely worth the effort. They’re cool, both in temperature and in vibe—like nature's own little hideaway. It’s the perfect spot to explore, snap a few pics, and feel like you’ve found a secret gem. Just you, the sound of the waves, and some epic rock formations. If you're in Noosa, this is an absolute...
Read moreA hidden gem that requires some climbing up the cliff at the end of Sunshine Beach. Best not to climb in flip flops (it wouldn't be very easy coming back down) but if you want to get down to the caves themselves on the other side there's sections which are probably better done barefoot. Easier to access the beach from the end of Seaview Terrace where there are stairs down to the beach if you're in shoes. Otherwise it's a longer walk across the sand from the small beach carpark. There is minimal street parking as streets are narrow. Head to the cliff at the north end of the beach. You will see a sign indicating the boundary of the national park where you begin the climb up. Towards the top there is a pretty obvious trail through the longer grass before you are greeted by the view on the other side. Caves accessible at low tide but I wouldn't venture down if...
Read moreIt's only recommended to access the cave at low tide. We didn't plan ahead but we were lucky to come here when it was low tide. It was Valentine's day but also a working Monday, so we had the cave to ourselves the whole time. It was secluded and not easy to access, but the view was spectacular and well worth it. It might not seem to be easy to go down from the top, but along the edge of the cliff there was a clear path leading to the cave, you just had to go lower to see it. We have been to Noosa several times but this is our first time going inside the cave and we are glad we did it. It's stunning enough from the top, so bear it in mind that even if you don't go down, it's completely fine because safety...
