North Mole (Rous head) a mole wall reaching out furthest into the Indian ocean via Fremantle port ,with a distinctive Red lighthouse brings a great vantage point for port traffic (& doubles for many activities). Obviously land based fishing is a prime of all sport levels with abundance of marine life brings various varieties of species dependent of season or weather conditions - "Bait" (yellow tail,scalie/sardine ,squid) , "Bread & Butter" (Herring ,Garfish ,tarwhine, skippy trevally ,tailor) "Larger species" (Mulloway ,Snapper ,Sting rays ,Samson fish ,Australian Salmon ,Shovelhead Ray's, Port Jackson sharks ,eels ) "Pelagic" (Spainish Mackerel ,Tuna ,Bonito) "Crustaceans" (crayfish) "Apex predators" (Sharks- Tiger ,Hammerhead ,Bronze whaler ,Gummy ) -along with a few surprise species after storms or a leeuwin current. A area of outter wall (towards lighthouse end / opposite toilets) nicknamed the "disabled ramp" offers fair opportunities for all including wheel chair user , person impaired & children to fish minus the snag obstacles, which also faces out to approx 180m Nth to a diving attraction called "Gareenrup wreck". Caltex also located at port beach entrance end during operating offers hot foods ,coffee, drinks ,snacks & food range of bait /fishing tackle. Plus a photography & selfie takers dream with a...

Nothing happening there, save this long lonesome nostalgic feeling..this place saw action up until the 1970s. Thereafter freo started dying. Full of memories...of yesterday. Now the herd of general society comes speeding down these 20-40 km/h Rd to the lighthouse. Find they have nothing to do and turn around and leave again. The lighthouse is like a shrine and it's a nice drive in n out. Others value the place and come here for fishing and few others sleep overnight in their vehicles, unwinding in the tranquility this mysteriously...

This place is for both fishing 🎣 and enjoy looking at the ocean views. It is clean and the water doesn’t smell . You can sit on top of the rock and enjoy the fresh air with your boyfriend or girlfriend. I recommend you to wear coat or jacket in winter if you’re visiting because the weather will get chilling but if it summer it’s ok to wear shirt and short. Remember to put your rubbish in the bin. This place also has a toilet 🚻 I recommend you to visit in the summer 🌞 in the evening so you can take a really good picture of...

Terrible wouldn’t recommend it. Asian man who owns this car was lingering around my car also decided to stand 15m away from me while I fished and cast his line right onto mine. If you park near the light house and fish you can’t see your car so for me it was an unsafe experience. Plus trying to explain to a man who apparently doesn’t speak English why you shouldn’t cast onto someone’s line. Wouldn’t recommend or return #creepsofwa
