Rottnest Express Northport Ferry Terminal — Attraction in North Fremantle

Horrible customer service! My partner and I booked a weekend away to Rottnest this last weekend (10th & 11th October) and unfortunately, despite paying extra for bag delivery, our bags never tuned up. Instead, they were left behind at the North shore ferry terminal. Before embarking on the ferry we saw both our bags located in the middle of all the other bags placed by other customers. We departed on the 13:45 ferry on Saturday 10th October.

We had to spend a whole day on Rottnest with no change of clothing or any basic toiletries (e.g. Toothbrush). It was a big disappointment for the two of us as we'd booked in for a meal & had packed appropriate attire for the occasion.

Whilst we can appreciate that inconveniences like this can and do happen, we have received no form of apology from anyone concerned (other than the hotel staff who did try their best to assist). Me and my partner have both travelled using Rottnest Express Ferries before, and on the whole, the service provided is a good one. The measure of a good company is how they deal with their customers during or after an unfortunate event such as the aforementioned. Unfortunately we didn't receive any...

Just had a trip with rottnest express. Boat and crew were ok but bikes..

2 out of the 3 bikes we had were in a really terrible condition : First one was having no bycicle stand, poor brakes and was making crazy noises sometimes ; Second bike was even worst and really dangerous to ride. No bell, weak brakes also, gears were changing randomly by themselves while riding and the back wheel was not even straight at all ! Third bike was good but still.

Basically, we paid 30$ for each bike for one day, also 2 of them wouldn't even worth 15$ nowadays if they try to sell them. Rip off + dangerous.

Carpark: only had a single working terminal, try the other if you're having issues.

Trip: Booked a return trip along with a bike hire. Found that the bike had issues so was able to give customer service a call and they were able to promptly organise an exchange with the Bike Hire shop on the island. Have to say that the bikes provided by REX only have three gears so don't do well as the island can get fairly hilly, and the bike I had been provided had issues with the gearing hub where it'd skip as you pedal. The Large Bike replacement though did very well and had 8 gears so was easier to find...
