Beautiful hike along Bomaderry Creek. It's dog-friendly, and transitions from exposed rock to forest and back-and-forth again, with smooth transitions, elevation changes, and surprising microclimates.
The hike begins across from Shoalhaven Lanes and a lovely, open, picnic area. It then heads west to a lookout, where a left turn at the fork will begin your hike. It parallels the creek Southward, descends to the creek, rises again, then descends to Oak Creek crossing.

Read moreReally beautiful and varied walk with so much to take in along the looped trail. Scenery ranges from rocky ledges if you start the trail at the car park near the tennis courts, before it descends down towards the creek. Some areas are flatter through the trees and easier to traverse however some sections of the loop are rockier are require some moderate scrambling. There are several benches dotted along the trail on which to sit and catch your breath while taking in the beautiful bush. We spotted several water dragons and a wombat. Will definitely come back again...

For the longer walk a few challenging parts and you need to pay attention not to go off the main path, a few more track signs would help. Very Cool rock formations and over hangs. Creek was flowing well on our walk, don't know if this always the case. For the longer loop allow 2 to 3 hours depending on how many stops you want or how often you lose the main track. Highly recommend a...
