The Grotto Nowra — Attraction in North Nowra

FYI: DO NOT enter track on Yurunga Drive My partner and I took 30 mins to work out where the track was. Had to walk on road for most of the journey and had to ask a local for directions. We entered the track from the Caravan Park near Shoalhaven zoo (via the road) next to the river. We walked the upper grotto track but had to cut our journey short as it took us 1.5 hours. Poor signage, lots of confusion, many forks in the path and had to constantly stop and look at...

Lovely area for a bush hike. It's deceptively close to houses, a golf course, so you are safe from getting lost deep into the bush. The signage isn't the best and we walked one way and got to the end at the boat ramp near the bridge. We had to walk all the way back. Still glad we did it but some prior planning and assistance would have been welcomed. For example, those signs with a map that says "You are here"...

Went amidst a day of random downpours & couldn't have picked a better atmosphere to see a number of wondrous sights from a heavy flowing creek running off the cliffs edge into a glorious waterfall, to caves, canyons, overhangs galore! All the nature & wildlife put on quite the show, although that included countless mozzies, so prepare for that on a moist, muggy day! Overall, it is a must-see with endless...
